Volunteers Needed
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make the Torbay Half Marathon a success on Sunday 20th September 2026. Time commitments vary by role but will usually be from 8am until 12pm.
All volunteers will receive free entry into their chosen distance at next year's event, which can also be gifted to a friend or family member.
ROUTE MARSHALS
Along the route instructing athletes.
EVENT DAY SETUP
Putting up banners & flags.
RACE START & FINISH
Helping to hand out medals & water.
The role of event marshals will include the following:
• Signposting Athletes and providing directions and/or instructions.
• Observing key points of the route.
• Health & Safety observations and reporting.
• Championing the athletes providing encouragement.
The skills that make a great volunteer:
Positive attitude, confident, energetic and observant people make great marshals. All volunteers will receive a goody bag and free place into future events.
