Following the triumphant return of the Torbay Half Marathon & 10k this year, we’re delighted to share our official 2025 Event Impact Infographic, highlighting the scale and success of this much-loved event.
After wrapping up our post-event survey and collating participant and spectator data, we’re proud to reveal that this year’s event welcomed a record-breaking 2,900 participants the largest in its event history and attracted an estimated 26,000 visitors to the Event Village and surrounding areas. Furthermore our visitor expenditure survey highlighted an economic impact of over £250,000, providing a significant boost to local businesses throughout Torbay.
The event’s reach stretched far beyond the local area, drawing participants from over 200 different towns and cities across the UK. Almost half of participants travelled from outside the towns of Torquay, Brixham and Paignton, many choosing to spend the weekend exploring and enjoying the region’s stunning coastline and vibrant hospitality.
A fantastic £150,000 was raised for charities across the UK, with our official Charity Partner Rowcroft Hospice leading the way in fundraising. It was heartening to see so many participants proudly wearing their Rowcroft Hospice purple vests in support of this incredible local charity.
The return of the Torbay Half Marathon & 10k showcased the very best of the English Riviera, inspiring many to rise to the challenge and lead a healthier and more active lifestyle.
Looking ahead, the event will return on Sunday 20th September 2026, with entries now open at www.torbayhalfmarathon.co.uk
A sincere thank you to everyone who made this year possible – our dedicated team, amazing volunteers, generous sponsors, and valued partners. Your support brought this iconic event back to life and helped create a truly memorable day for everyone involved.
